What's in a Name?
The name ZUNA means abundance. Abundance is defined as “an extremely plentiful or over sufficient quantity or supply.” John 10:10 says, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
God wants us to enjoy our lives right now, living each day to the fullest. We don’t have to wait until tomorrow, next week, or next year to be happy. We can choose to be happy today. Jesus came to bring salvation, but He also came so we can walk in daily fellowship with Him.
God yearns to have a relationship with us. He knows everything about us, because He created us. He knows every desire in our hearts, because He has given us those dreams and aspirations. Not only does He know about them, He wants to give us those desires. He wants our hearts to be fulfilled. Psalm 36:4 says, “Delight yourselves also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Delighting yourself in the Lord means your satisfaction comes from Him. Before God can give us the desires of our hearts, we must first realize our joy comes from walking with Him. We begin to live in abundance when we stop measuring our happiness with obtaining our wants. We live to the fullest when we learn to enjoy the journey. Psalm 37:7 says “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way…”
We will find true abundant living when we stop looking for material fulfillment and start resting in God’s patience and trusting in Him. We don’t have to wait to enjoy our lives; we can choose to enjoy the everyday right now.
God does not want to withhold any good thing from us, but we must be willing to trust in Him. Psalm 85:11 says “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” We must trust Him to know “…all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Enjoying the journey is essential to living an abundant life. You can stop searching for happiness and begin to choose true happiness and joy. Choose today to live your life to the fullest.
Psalm 20:4 “May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose.”
